Bottom Line

The Lenovo Yoga 710 is a thin and light convertible laptop that offers decent hardware and great battery life for travelling professionals or college students. But the Lenovo Yoga 710 doesn’t feature an optical drive or a full size HDMI port.

The Lenovo Yoga 710 80U00006US is a bestselling 15.6-inch ultrabook that has been praised for its light weight design, sixth generation Intel Core i5 processor, Full-HD touchscreen display, super fast solid state drive and for its 360 degree hinge design. To keep things thin and light, the Lenovo Yoga 710 80U00006US doesn’t feature an optical drive and its selection of ports is not as good as other 15.6-inch laptops. You also don’t get a full size HDMI port and you will have to purchase an adapter separately if you want to connect the Lenovo Yoga 710 80U00006US to an HDTV.

Until recently, you couldn't find a truly premium 2-in-1 for under $1,000. However, the Lenovo Yoga 710 15-inch (starting at $750; $900 as tested) is proof of how quickly that's changing. For less than a grand, this bend-back notebook punches above its price tag, competing with our favorite 2-in-1s, such as the HP Spectre x360. The Yoga 710's beautiful display, responsive keyboard and strong performance make it a fantastic large-screen 2-in-1 and a great value.
